According to autonews, the Automotive News website, Robert Bosch said its engineering team has developed a new diesel exhaust treatment system. The exhaust emission value is far lower than the emission legal standard in 2020, which will help automobile manufacturers avoid the implementation of diesel vehicle ban in Europe and continue the life of diesel technology.

Volkmar Denner, Bosch's CEO, said at a news conference in Stuttgart on Wednesday: "this new technological breakthrough has given a new world to diesel technology, which is at the forefront of the storm, and it is expected to end the dilemma faced by the current diesel vehicles."

In addition, automobile manufacturers rely heavily on diesel technology to achieve their CO2 reduction targets. Although the emission of carbon dioxide from diesel engine is lower than that of gasoline engine, diesel engine produces more nitrogen oxides, which leads to harmful haze phenomenon and the decline of urban air quality.
